Hi

Whether your friend is controlling her diabetes by pills, diet or insulin...all you can really do imho is tell her how dangerous it is for her to eat so much chocolate in one go. You can remind her how it sends her blood-sugar levels out of control, and gently remind her that diabetes is a serious condition. Perhaps you could also find a gentle way to remind her that diabetes can also be fatal if ignored.

Good luck in helping her.

Diabetic Question and Diabetic Question to you.

Sounds to me like her sugars spiked to a not so hot level.

sorry - better late than never? have her drink water and walk slowly, this will help bring it down.

Colleen
Im a type 2. mild exercise helps bring it down. MILD not anything too aggressive.

Hope this helps

A diabetic really needs to learn how to control their diabetes. My sister is 12 and she has had diabetes since she was 3 or so, and of course it is hard for her to control it because she is so young and just wants to eat candy all day. But the important thing is realizing the consequences. If you don't take care of your body today you will have to face the dangers of what might happen tomorrow.
