Hi,
I apologise if this is in the wrong section but not sure where to put it. I have problems trying to concentrate on anything for too long and my mind wanders and most of the time my thoughts are cloudy or erratic. I have trouble trying to stick to and complete a single task particularly if it lasts a long time. I have been like this as far back as I can remember but something peculiar happened just over a year ago. I had some teeth taken out and was put to sleep with morphine for about 15 minutes or so during the operation, can't remember a thing about the operation, I lay back on the bed and came to in a room thinking it hadn't even happened!?!?! Afterwards I would randomly fall asleep for the rest of that day for maybe 15-20 minutes but the next day I was completely fine and like clockwork I would go to my bed at 10pm, get to sleep straight away, no waking up through the night and be up bright and early. I felt wonderful and I could think clearer and much quicker and felt much better in myself. Was able to focus and concentrate even on tiresome work. This lasted just over 2 months then I fell slowly back into my usual routine which is can't normally get to sleep till midnight or later, can't get up early, clouded thinking and no longer being able to concentrate properly. I kind of feel like my brain had been reset when I had been knocked out, everything went back to factory settings but then got cluttered up again later. I would like to know if that had something to do with it or not? Was it just the fact I could get proper sleep? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I keep wondering if I were to get knocked out again (minus getting any teeth removed) if the same would happen? I do have a long history of anxiety and depression. Is it the anxiety which makes me unable to concentrate/focus or my terrible sleep pattern which causes me unable to concentrate/focus? |

I think you might have had problems with your teeth/gums and they're very important to the rest of your health. Get the diseased teeth problem out of your mouth and some of that stress on your body and you got better but then if you didn't change anything permanently (how and what you eat, sleeping habits, etc.), then things will go back to normal.
