Do you take one? What kind? Do you feel it helps or do you take it because a doctor or someone told you to/prescribed it?

I'm trying to take "New Chapter Every Woman" which I found at my health food store.

I don't take them very consistently. I've been trying to get good vitamins that don't mess up my stomach, or intestines, or smell/taste bad, etc. These seem to be okay in that regard but they're supposed to be taken 3 a day and I'm lucky if I take that may a week Vitamins

I have been taking the 'One-A-Day' brand multi-vitamin for several years. I don't remember a doctor recommending it but sometimes I am asked if I take a multi-vitamin and then I tell them I do. I can't say for sure if it helps or has any effect but when I tell docs I take it they seem to be pleased. I take one every morning.

Yeah, those are nasty but better than taking Cod Liver Oil; I tried that in my youth since that use to be big in parents and grandparents time and spit it out all over the mirror :-)

Get some of this stuff?

It apparently doesn't give one the "fishy burps".

I take 2 gummy multivitamins...they are gummy bears that are vitamins..I used to take flintstones but they made me gag after a while so I started the gummies. I also take Iron twice a day and calcium twice a day. I take these because I can't eat enough to get all the good stuff I need out of the food I eat.

I take a multivitamin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Calcium, Magnesium, Flax seed oil and Ginseng. I think they help. I use 2 weekly pill planners--the plastic ones with a compartment for each day of the week--that helps me remember to take them.

Yes, most of mine do too. These "Every Woman" ones from my health food store seem better, I haven't had any trouble with them.

I have some womens multi that I take when I'm feeling under the weather.
My bf would feed me B12 if we had been drinking (meant to help prevent hangovers).
I have flaxseed oil (same active ingredient as fish oil but no fishy burps and no risk of heavy metal accumulation- not sure if that is a potential problem with the fish oil or not). Hard to remember to take it 3x a day, though. Tend to forget.

I'm ambivalent about vitamins. I guess they might (possibly) give your body a bit of a boost if you really are low on some trace element or other... I worry that our bodies don't really absorb them, though (so we pee them out, basically). Not sure they are worth it. Except when you are vegan (for example) and need some sort of synthetic B12...

when I am able to take vitaimins... I know they are absorbed.. because I can "see" the difference.. ie.. hair.. healthier... acid reflux reduced from the B... with calcium - not a vit.. but.. my fingernails grow... so I know they make a difference with me..
