Ugh, I hate paralyzation (not to mention I can't even spell the word).

Got up this morning and decided I wanted to go down to the basement, so I pull myself out of my wheelchair, and try to hop down the stairs by holding onto the banister with one hand, and hopping down on my good leg. Doesn't work well when your shoulder hurts like hell.

At least I have one leg that works, but ARGH. It drives me nuts. I have these days where I think I forget one leg doesn't work and I try to stand up. I'm gonna have to get someone to fix the house up because I can't climb stairs right now, unless I want to kill my shoulder by grabbing onto banisters and DRAGGING myself up.

Plus I have my finger in a brace because I broke it.
Bah. I don't like to be a negative bother but boy I'm not in an uplifting mood right now!

i was paralyzed in my left once when i had a stroke. i was 33 at the time. i pretty much shimmied up and down like a monkey. i don't know if that would help. i basically "crawl" on the stairs. i know what it's like with shoulder pain because my shoulder was like that from pulling myself up all the time. took months for it to heal. anyway, i hope this helps....
