ive had a consultation and an xray done, but i dont have the money to get my wisdom teeth removed. WITH dental insurance, my 4 impacted teeth will cost me $830. what do they expect from those who cry from the pain everyday to do when theyre not rich? i dont want to go through surgery but its enough to make me cry and i cant do anything about it.

*tear* it sucks being broke working a full time job.

Dental pain is the worst. I don't know if it's a possibility for you
but I have seen many dentist in my area offer financing plans, where you make monthly payments on your bill. I hope everything goes well for you. broke as a joke

How about going to a local college.. I know they have reduced.. sometimes free services from what I've heard. I sure hope something works out for you . That pain is not fun.

I would get one done at a time or whatever I could afford; start with the most painful. I had 2 of my wisdom teeth come in and they just had to be pulled regularly, pretty much like any tooth from my regular dentist and only one of the other two had to come out; still have one.

Shop around for a less expensive dentist or one that will give you time to pay off (if you don't have a dental school nearby; U. Kentucky? http://chfs.ky.gov/NR/rdonlyres/4AF5...curriculum.pdf ). Look too, sometimes there are dental research places testing various things that will do it for free.

You don't have to be put to sleep for it. Not being put to sleep saves hundreds of dollars.

Mine were impacted too, but I wasn't put to sleep. The dentist cut through my gums and had to break the tooth to extract it, but it wasn't painful, just scary. There was a lot of pressure, but no pain. Just the simple freezing is enough.

Just ask for some Ativan to take to calm you down before. Bring music as a distraction.
