That really sucks. At least it's cheaper than buying a new car. If there was mass transit here, I would take it and dump my car.

Sorry Okie - that really sucks. You pretty much can't get anything repaired for under a K these days. I dread taking my car in for servicing.

I think I might hand this car off to my daughter and purchase a new one for moi. I could justify it as a nice little graduation gift to myself. Car Broke Down

Thanks for all your sympathies!
Love,
Okie

I know how you feel, okie. I have towed my car to the garage twice in the past three weeks. The darned tow bill costs $140 each time.

Boy, it seems we all are having trouble with our vehicles! Car Broke Down

I could SO do without a car. And with the gas prices heading toward $5 a gallon, I just may.

Perhaps I could pogo stick whereever I need to go? Or go on stilts? These were my two favorite activities as a kid. At my age, I'd probably kill myself!! Car Broke Down
Hugs,
Okie

Car Broke Down ((((((((((((((((((( okie ))))))))))))))))))))))) I guess we are dating ourselves here.....I LOVED the pogo stick and my dad made stilts for me when I was a kid. I was the only kid in the neighborhood with stilts and I could walk around the whole 3 blocks on them without falling off. The other kids used to love to try to beat me in distance but never could hehehe. I even tried pogo sticking around the block but that was a bit harder.

Now, I'm seeing in my mind....all us adults using those ways to get to and from where we have to go.....I'm dying of laughter here....thanks so much for the laughs! Sure hope your car is fixed and ok now.

Car Broke Down

Sabby, that's a kick! I was the stilts queen myself back when. Just the thought of carrying my backpack, purse, books, etc. on a pair of stilts cracks me up! And a POGO STICK!? My, my, my what a sight that would be. I would certainly need more than an underwire bra....I'd need a chain-link fence, baby!!!! Car Broke Down

Ahhhh, the good old days, when we weren't so good and we weren't so old!
Love,
Okie

PS Car is fixed and my purse much lighter!
