Hi all,

I just wanted to let you all know how things went with my pdoc and neurologist the other week.

I hadn't seen my pdoc since April, he didn't know I had stopped my meds, had a seizure, and started homeschooling. He saw me in the waiting room and didn't recognize me.. lol He was Thrilled to know I was off my meds, and doing well. He said that my meds probably caused the seizure I had, and was very supportive of my decision to homeschool. In fact he had received a letter about my decision to do that from my mental health support worker (at her supervisors insistance) and responded to it saying that he had no concerns about my decision or capability! Yippee. So, I see him end of November just to follow up.

My neurologist I saw last week regarding the seizure I had sufferend in May.. he said given the concoction of meds I was on at the time, he feels that it was caused by that, esp as I had never had one before, and since stopping my meds, haven't had one either. However, in order to get my drivers license back I need to under go an EEG and MRI to show that it isn't epilepsy etc.. so, the Neurologist said he feels that they will both be normal, but I have to proove it to the MTO before getting my license back. So, just waiting for those appts to be booked.

I am happy happy happy.. :-)

thanks for all your support here, I appreciate it.

Blessings
Mischka

That's great. I hope you don't have to wait too long for the tests to be done. And I wish you serious good luck with the MTO. I've twice had my driver's licence suspended for medical reasons and they can be really slow to deal with.
