Irritable Male Syndrome - The Male Version of PMS

I just saw a little clip on TV (Animal Planet) where they were talking about the unique comparison of a male Elephant in musk to that of a male with IMS "Irritable Male Syndrome" and all I could say was - YEAH! Finally proof of what I have been saying... My husband suffers from PMS for months at a time.

Main Cause: Drop in Testosterone Level
Symptoms: Irritability and Anger with Sadness that last for weeks or months at a time

While this condition may have been around for ages, the newly recognized medical diagnosis suggests that men may be just as vulnerable to the complexities of biological changes as women.

This is one time I am glad to be a woman and not a man, as PMS only comes around once every month, where as IMS can stay around for months on end...... but to be the female that has to live with a IMSing Male... as I do - Grrrrrrr

* * * *

My Prayers go out to the MEN that suffer from IMS - as I know PMS/PMDD is no fun.
