I hate my knees. They so ache right now. I walked all throughout Walmart yesterday instead of using one of those riding carts because I want to try to walk more and now my knees are killing me. Plus I slipped in the shower yesterday and hyperextended my right knee. I am R.I.C.E.ing that knee and it isn't helping. I have been taking ibuprofen like it is candy and it isn't even touching the pain or inflamation. I called my ortho doc hoping he was on call this weekend and luckily he was but he said he couldn't call me in anything without seeing me so I have to go see him on Monday. So until then I get to live with the pain this weekend. He said if it got to bad I could go to the E.R. but the E.R. at the hospital he is affilitated with is slower than than snot on a doorknob and I hate waiting in their waiting room they don't have a good way for me to prop my legs up and plus the doctor's there leave a lot to be desired. So I will just live with it until Monday and go see my ortho. I'm sure I just sprained my knee and hopefully that is it. I'm sure of it.

I'm just rambling now. I need to not walk so much on them I guess.

(((jbug))) u can do exercises while sitting down to strenthen your knees..no impact. it does help so when u gotta walk your knees and the ligaments, leg muscles, etc. around them are stronger. hope you feel better soon and get a good rpt. at the ortho doc.

I got into see my doc this morning and he said it is just sprained. He just said to wrap it and put ice on it. He also told me to start to do my exercises again to strengthen it. He gave me some samples of some pain meds that have an anti-inflammation in them and sent me on my merry way.

I did find out why in the Spring and Summer months it is hard to get in to see him though. He has a Kansas City Royals jersey hanging up in his waiting room that says he's the head doctor for the Naturals. The Naturals are the minor league team for the Royals. Guess that explains why he is busy in the spring and summer.

Best investment for a thing like that is buy a Jaccuzzi unit for your bath tub (less than $200). Use that with Epson Salts. I think Sears still sells the units.
