i have a vitamin D deficiency, so i take Vit D and calcium supplements.
also my hair falls out, so selenium (which you can find in centrum tablets).

i dont believe in taking vits/minerals unless recommended for a specific purpose by a dr. most research shows that the body doesn't absorb it unless necessary, and in some cases it can have adverse effects.

I just realized I made an error, it's not 1000 mg vitamin D, it's 1000 IU, big difference lol.

I have to take so many vitamins due to having bariatric surgery. I don't get enough vitamins through my food so I have to take them in pill form. I can tell when I don't take my vitamins I get run down and sick. My immune system gets all out of whack and I tend to come down with a cold or bronchitis easier if I don't take my vitamins so I try to take them religously.

Jbug, my body doesn't absorb all the nutrients it needs either, but due to allergic responses (it rejects good stuff sometimes.)

I drink smoothies from Andrew Lessman "Secure." It has Vit A,C, D3, E, B1-2-6-12, Niacin, folic acid, biotin, calcium, phosphorus, zinc, copper, chromium, pantothenic acid, magnesium, selenium, manganese, molybdenum, soy protein (7 g) 2g fiber and 7g sugars. One smoothie I make is 70 calories, 9 gms fat (no trans fat), 4 carbs, and 4 gm protein. I drink as many as I need in a day to function (usually fewer than 4.)

I also take a supplement (Also Lessman's) that provides additional above listed plus boron, l-lysine hydrocloride, l-carnitine fumerate, l-leucine, l-isolucine, l-valine, guarana, green tea extract, eleuthero extract, Asian Ginseng, ashwagandha extract , rhodiola rosea extract.

In addition, I take chlorOxygen (chlorophyll extract) to increase iron, and Holy Basil for stress. At other times I take 1000mg (1 gm) of Vitamin C in addition to the rest. I take or eat garlic and onion to help with keeping illness free (natural antibiotics.) I keep Yarrow, cornsilk, and Cayenne handy for those type flareups.

I drink green tea too, often mixed with non-black tea (white...) Usually the smoothies are made with frozen fruits.

Let's see...what else? ROFL I guess you're sorry you asked???

Thanks for helping me get all this written in one place for reference. (Man, way too much personal info, eh?)

!!!

Same here! Women with certain health issues, dietary restrictions, or pregnancy complications definitely need to take a prenatal vitamin!
