and does it ever HURT!

I saw my doctor today and she was not happy with me. I hurt my back on Sunday night. My 6 y.o. was having a fit and screaming and I went to pick her up (she weighs 60 lbs.) and she went dead weight on me and my back just gave. I thought my knees were going to go out I had to yell at hubby to come help me move....

First of all the doc was p.o.'ed that I was picking her up. I shouldn't be doing that anyway. I am still in recovery from the PE and we don't want to mess anything up. I also am on anti-coagulants and could cause a strain or a bleed or worse. Ofcourse, I heard about this ...LOL...doctors.

Anyway, I've got the spasms and whole 9 yards. This is no fun. So I got some steroids and some muscle relaxants to hopefully get me through the week. She said within a week it should feel better. I'm going to hold her to it.

ARGH..I sometimes wonder if it ever ends...

Take care all,
Kimberly.

Ouch! My dad slipped and fell on the ice at work yesterday...he's hurting too.

I hope you get to feeling better soon. No more picking things up! I strained my back....

Oh! Poor dad. Did he see his doctor? I've done that before but I busted a knee cap. That was some painful stuff....

Thanks hun. I think it'll be okay. Actually if it would just stop the spasms it would almost be bearable. Anytime I move it just hurts like heck.

I hope your dad stops hurting and gets over it quickly too.

Take care,
Kimberly.

See a doctor??? lol You've never met my dad. He's a pain. lol He went to work today...so he is somewhat better.

Do you have pain meds to take for your back? Even Advil that might help?

Oh I understand the whole stubborn dad bit. Trust me, mine is the same! LOL. My mother-in-law was the absolute worst. She wouldn't see a doc for anything.

Yeah I got pain meds -- Relafen 750 mg. I have never taken it before but the information I read on the internet says that it's for arthritis pain. Maybe it'll do something...
