Otherwise known as Cervical Radiculopathy.
It's been two-and-a-half weeks since it started, and I really don't know how to deal with it. The meds the doctor prescribed for me help a little, but not enough. I'm in near-constant pain. It's taking a toll on my productivity at work, and it's really damaging my relationship. I come home in the evening and my last nerve is just waiting...my temper has a VERY short fuse and I don't have the control I used to. My pain and fear and anger are pouring out all over my partner, who's got quite enough problems of his own. He doesn't need my crap. I start physical therapy today, and I really hope that does something. I just don't know how to keep myself reasonable, sane. This just hurts and hurts and doesn't let go. How can I stay calm when I want to scream and cry?

Hi there Kendyll, hope the physical therapy is helping. I tried browsing around for your query and found this article about Cervical Radiculopathy that you may find helpful:
http://www.healthscout.com/ency/68/518/main.html It's got necessary questions to ask your doctor about Cervical Radiculopathy. The earlier the treatment, the quicker the recovery. On another note, don't feel too bad about venting your grief on your man. I'm sure he understands what you're going through. He loves you and he's willing to be the shock absorber when you fall.
