Owwwwwwwwwwwww.

I managed to sprain my neck. Yes, I went to the doctor about it, because it hurts to move my head right completely.

I normally "crack" my neck in the morning. I know that's bad... but it's what usually loosens up my head/neck enough to do things. It's like my head locks overnight!

So I "cracked" it this morning, and 'lo and behold - Mind bending pain!

Ouch. I'm going to take my Advil and use my heat/ice pack for my neck, any other suggestions or sympathy pains out there??

Lesson to learn: Cracking might not lead to arthritis (it's an urban myth) but it does lead to pain because it readjusts your muscles!!

OUCH! - I am sorry for your pain, but I understand the popping the neck thing as it is the only thing that helps my husband as well.

And YES - its an old wise tail that popping any joint leads to arthritis...... oh what one will believe if it is told to us early on as a child.... lol

You are in my Prayers -
Thanks for this!

i feel your pain...and can add onto it with my own massively SUNBURNED BACK OF THE NECK pain too.

i went to a basset hound rescue event on saturday...it was 75 degrees...bright and sunny...by the ocean...first warm, spring like day of the year (honestly!!!) it was great!

did i think about sunburn? nope.

did my face get burned? yep. nose, cheeks, forhead.

ears? one (only one...go figure)

arms? yup. both

but the back of my neck is cherry red...from the bottom of my hair (which is short) to the top of my t shirt collar and then around the shirt neck and my 1 ear.

i look like my head & arms got rotated in a nuclear reactor...and now i must glow like a traffic light.

bonus...today its 40 degrees and raining, windy and nasty out.

ain't life special....and i'm still sunburned.

stumpy
(hey at least the young stumpy dog finally stopped moving...he had consumed enough dog treats/hot dogs/pretzels/ice cream/peanuts etc to keep him moving like a sleep crazed toddler for 1.5 days...oh i did not feed them to him...he is like a shark with really short legs)
Thanks for this!

I am sorry about your neck, and your sunburned neck. That sounds absolutely painful. The heat and ice work pretty good to help ease the pain. I to snap my neck from time to time, but I have a few discs that are bulging in it too, so I am sure that helps make it easier to snap, but sometimes that can be really pain ful, and sometimes it can releive the pain.
Thanks for this!
