What Do You Consider Bad Parenting?

I would like to know some peoples opinions, and what they think is bad parenting, though i'm not a parent, I would just like to know what others think :P

For me one of the biggest sins is being inconsistant.

There are varying degrees of bad parenting. Of course, on the worse end is a parent who is mentally, emotionally, sexually, or physically abusive or neglectful.

Certainly, a parent who generally ignores what their children are doing, or on the other extreme, is overly dominant concerning running everything their child is doing is a bad parent.

As said before, a lack of consistency and stability can cause parenting issues.

The worst parents I see as a teacher are those who are simply completely absent from their childrens' lives and those that are abusive in any way.

Some things that come into my head are...

-Not providing the necessary things for the child, such as food, clothing, getting them to school, etc.

-Making the child feel unsafe due to various types of abuse, such as emotional, physical, sexual, etc.

-Any sort of neglect, and not being consistent..

I must say a word about parenting, without being a parent myself yet just by being the child, for 25 years old now.

From my observation there are those who, as was mentioned neglect the child, and there are those who over dominate - let me say something about those who voer dominate!

They kye to this :
"I know what is good for my child! BETTER that the child! I know how it is! In my child hood i did not have enough love = i will give this child ALL the love!! I did not play violin as a child = my child will!!"

The - a child probably feels this pressure of expectation from his parent! The parent, if he wants to help his child - should look NOW at the child`s needs and NOT into HIS past!!! i have been rais like that and it was a bunch of illusions i am processing! only now i realize how unhappy i have been all that time.

Be IN THE NOW and with the child - not with the inner child within you!!! you cannot improve your past life using your kid - you can only look at the kid and what he wants!
