Is it normal for 13yro boy to experiement with his 8yro brother?

Not sure how to deal with this situation. I feel that a 13 yro old should not be sexual with an 8yro. I remember experiment with people my age at that age but not like this.

I agree that the thirteen year old is too old to be messing with an eight year old. The age difference is just too much.

The 13 yo runs the risk of being labelled a sex offender unless this is stopped in it's tracks! Once labelled, he/she would need to be on a open registry, basically forever or until they can get a court order to de-register. Highly recommend doing whatever is needed to stop this.

I would be more concerned about the 8 year old and whether he is being sexually abused. Please protect the 8 year old. He does not have the ability to give consent for this kind of experimentation.

With some things, you have a 100% green light to exercise your parental authority, no ifs, ands or buts. This is one of those things. It's important to not be controlling and give your kids space/privacy as they explore their OWN sexuality. But when they start sexualizing each other it's time for you to lay down the law and put a stop to it ASAP. Do not feel guilty. You are 100% in the clear on this to get in there and stop it.

My concern is also for the eight year old and the possibility he is being sexually abused. I guess it depends on what you mean by "experimenting." If abuse has happened, IMHO, you have an obligation to the eight year old to report the thirteen year old. That sounds harsh, but how many members of PC were abused as children and never had an adult step in to protect them?

I agree with Copperstar, that you, as the parent, need to put a stop to this immediately.

Find ways to nip it in the bud, asap.
Maybe look into why your experimenting at those ages, normalized the notion of experimenting?
