And for some reason I'm feeling a little down about it this time. Anyone else out there getting hit this morning with... "Wow, they have really grown." This summer it seems like my kids have really gravitated towards their Dad and away from me. I know this is completely normal and I was anticipating it. I'm kind of happy and sad at the same time.

I was always happy in the past, just seemed like it was different for some reason this year. Maybe because my oldest boarded the jr hs bus this year and actually put on a little cologne this morning. LOL

My youngest daughter started high school yesterday. :icon_cry:

It is so scary seeing them get older. My 6th grader the other day purchased a little charm bracelet for the girl he now has a crush on. He just totally puts himself out there. I can see some girl totally breaking his heart in the near future. I guess I should be glad that he is willing to risk being vulnerable. I just hope is is able to survive adolescent in one piece.
