What can I say, but that my youngest son started college back in October and after getting through high school with out a gf (just friends that were girls) he went and got a gf a week before he started college... and while my husband and I like her and are glad that our son is forming a well balanced life we are concerned of the time our son is devoting to his gf and life activities over his college needs.
How did you other parents deal with this issue when your child is no longer a child, yet still not a full adult? (he will being turning 19 in a week). |

Some things we just have to accept, they're adults now (legally) and they have to make their own mistakes. Is his behavior interferring with his education?

((((((Rhapsody)))))))))))))))))) I think the best thing you can do is support him. Guide him the best you can. Maybe talk to them both as adults about paying attention to studys too. As she will have to too. If she is in college. That is what i have done with my daughter.
The first year of college is the hardest I think on kids so much going on. ![]() Have faith I am sure you have raised him well he will do good. Its hard to let them have thier wings and fly. When they do what a great feeling it is to know they can do it. Wish you the best muffy |

If anything maybe it will help to let them know its for thier future...thats hard to think of when young......ask her to do it with kindness or he may get upset.

I am a hard parent and tell him if he fails then dont expect for it to be paid for again as it wont be.
He has to get things in balance NOT give his girlfriend up but face the world and how hard it can be. |
