Hello all,
I'm dealing w/ a boss w/ hpd. At first I thought definitely npd. I realize you can have more than one. Cluster b traits overall. If I may, I'll give a few example. I'd appreciate any input. A bit of different workplace. I'm a nanny, so I'm working in a home. The mother(husband too) seemed very arrogant at first. Noticed more and more, she'd copy what I say, dress similarly. This drives me crazy, make a point to "cross" my path. I've been much more aloof, because of discomfort, annoyance. Also leaving at the end of summer. That seemed like one of many attempts to get my attention. She's very quiet and subtle about getting noticed. But I just know she's desperate for it. Not just me, I'm sure. Also finds ways to have me text her. E..g some work is being done at the house. She must know when they are coming. Yet won't mention it. Then the worker has a question.I have to get in touch w/ her. Some creepy sexual things. One day I was emptying the dryer of the "children's laundry". I pull out her black underwear, to which I am disgusted and kinda laugh. I look up to see her staring at me(staring happens often). Very creepy. I've been there 4 1/2 years. These desperate attempts to get me to notice her are getting more extreme. They've been pretty consistent w/ habits. Suddenly leaving underwear in places i have to go.Really inapproriate.Mind you I'm not into women. No prob w/ anyone who is. I just kept thinking" what does she think/hope is going to happen"? One final example. I have allergies and asthma. Just recently she is having "allergies". Placing products that I use in places I have to see them( arranged just right), one of them was her father's prescription nasal spray. It would really upset her if she knew, I knew that. The name didn't get fully torn off. Anyway seemed like forcing any commonality. Does this sound like hpd? Also for those w/ it. If someone called you out on your behavior, would you be embarrassed? Wouldn't you want to stop a certain behavior, since some people aren't buying it? Again thanks for input. I'm just trying to understand. I'm adhd, sober also. I understand having issues. Thanks again. |
