Where can a person who has no job, cannot qualify for medicaid/medicare due to household income, no insurance, and in need of help turn? The "community" services in this area that are free or use a sliding fee are more of a joke than a way to help. Medicaid here uses 1985 incomes as a guideline - like a family of 3 people really can live on $298 a month....
My girlfriend REALLY needs some quality care, and I will do what I can to help, but even with my employee discounts at the hospital, it will still be expensive. I welcome all ideas - people, this is to help someone I think of as much more important than myself...she is the mother of my child, the love of my life, and I feel like I am failing her by not having an answer. Any suggestions?
