Well, it was his assistant actually. Two months ago, she told me over the phone that I have a hearing date set for August 21. Today, I got a letter confirming it and letting me know that my lawyer wants me to come in one more time beforehand. The letter also stated that I will be getting another letter soon from the "hearing people." Even tho I dont know for sure if I'll win the case, its still a relief.

I'm still waiting on my decision. I am not sure if they will have a hearing or not. Do they normally do it the first time around? Or is this an appeals hearing? Either way, I wish you luck

this is an appeals hearing. i've already been denied so i got a lawyer, and he filed an appeal on my behalf

Good luck! I am going through this process as well. I don't think I have much chance of winning my case though
