I am 21, florida law is your father has to provide your health insurance until 24 or 25. I told him about my symptoms and that i want to see a doctor. He said he is canceling it and wants nothing to do with me now. Can i take legal action against him so i can get the help i need?

I could be wrong, but coverage to age 26 is an option (previously not available), but there is no requirement that parents HAVE to take that option. The HAVE TO part is that insurance companies must provide that option. Parents don't have to use that option.
Thanks for this!

My dad is the CFO at one of the most important companies in florida's history(it will go unnamed on public forums) i found out today its illegal for him to take me off until im 26 and he could lose his job. I made that clear to him and now he's not canceling it anymore. I told him i heard voices and he thought it was some sick joke.

Popproducer, can you sit down and talk with your father, explain to him that you really hear voices and want some help?

I believe you are mistaken about him having to provide you with health insurance. Morally I would hope he would help you since he has the resources to do so, but my understanding of Florida law is that the parent has no legal responsibility for a child once they turn 18.
Thanks for this!

Can you offer to pay for your portion of the policy?

dear Pop,
Everyone is correct. This is an option and not the law.
Unless your parents are divorced and it is part of the decree.

I made sure in my divorce that my daughters bio dad was responsible for her college education up to age 26.
It didn't matter if he could afford as long as he was financially liable.
H.
Try to talk with both parents in a responsible way.
