had my appeal hearing today. at the end the judge said he would make his decision this afternoon. the vocational expert said there were no jobs in the economy that i could do AND that i could no longer do my old work. they dismissed me at the end of testimony, but lawyer, VE, judge and court reporter stayed behind in the hearing room. anyone have a clue as to what all this could possibly mean? thnx.

The fact that a lawyer has stuck with you and got you to this point seems an indication for hope that your claim could get approved. From what I learned going through the process, myself, a lawyer won't even get involved with you, unless they see a strong case. (They get paid nothing for their work, unless you win.)

Let us know what you hear.

Also, from what I read, their can be a lag between when the judge makes a decision and when the judge communicates the decision.
