I'm on a Medicare Advantage Plan for low income senior. I would like to know if there is any Medicare plan that pays for seeing a psychotherapist twice a week, on going?

you would have to talk to a medicare specialist. contact your local senior center or health and human services dept or even aging services with the state and see if there is an ADRC program in your area. (aging disability resource center). it is a federal program i believe. but even so, one of those three places should be able to tell you a resource of someone who understands medicare benefits to help you make the best choice.

Thanks for answering. I wasn't sure anyone would relate to this. I'm in deep, conflictual Transference relationship now and could use T's influence more often. I'm just now realizing that the diagnosis can make a difference to insurance companies rules.

I'm not sure about that but you can find many therapists that work on a sliding scale in your community. look for your health department for resources and look for community mental health services that have funding for sessions again based on a slidibg scale. good luck
