I know people think it's a bad idea, but the job is permanent and I know working makes me happy. I need to feel productive, like I'm doing something for the world. When I got it I really needed it. I was down and out and talking even on meds to the spirits surrounding me. Now I'm more stable emotionally.
Yes I have a little fear but I do become disabled within 5 years of giving it up I can restart it. I'll be one less person taxing our overburdened system. Making room for someone who really needs it like I once did.

I don't know your circumstances but I believe that if I could work again that I would be better equipped to deal with my mental health issues. The main reason being that it would mean a kick in the butt to get out and stop isolating. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I am losing my SSDI (filled out the paperwork on my employment today). I started a full-time job and used up all my trial working months. I have done well at the new job and plan to continue. Husband is nervous but supportive.

Well done on working towards your goals! It is not easy and I admire you.
![]() SSDI is much needed and saved me over the years when I could not work due to my illness. I could not have survived without it and know that many others are in the same place. I also recently went off of SSDI as well, using up all my TWP months. I am nervous about losing but it is there to refile during the allowed time if something happens if we cannot continue to work, which is some peace of mind. I hate not having the security though and I miss having my time as my own and to take care of myself, it is harder to do when working and more stressful. It is, however, nice being productive as you mention. The extra income is nice as well, but most of all I will not miss having reviews. ![]() Best wishes as you move forward and in all your future endeavors. ![]()
