I can't trust myself to get benefits from my work. There is no guarantee I will get benefits from my work and even if I do, I have no track record to prove I can keep this job, so now that I am nearing the age of the cut-off from my parents insurance, it is now time for me to decided on an insurance for medical, dental, and vision.
This is all new to me. Does MEDI-CAL work for you? What does it cover? Medical? Dental? Vision? What's the process to enroll? How long does it take? What's the co-pay? |

Also, is this related to the Affordable Care Act? Because that's pretty messed up right now and I don't think I would like to enroll if it's related.
What insurance do you use? |

Hi, Medi-cal is medicaid for California. I am on Medi-cal. For me it covers medical, pharmaceutical, an eye exam, and limited dental services. I don't have a co-pay. When I enrolled in the ACA they slotted me into Medi-cal because I am low income. You can apply through the ACA, or you can apply at your local Health and Human Services office.
The services you receive, co-pay (or none)- it all depends upon your monthly income. |
