Thank you for replying to my post. Yes, I am on section 8 lists, and was able to find a temporary place to live with a reduced rent agreement. My concern is that since I have moved (not far from where I was living) my disability benefits will be re-evaluated and I honestly am not sure how to report this or if I need to. I want to apply for SNAP benefits since for the first time in over ten years I have been unable to pay all of my bills on time. I have completely neglected one and my credit has declined I am also very nervous that when I am re-evaluated for benefits, they will determine I am better off homeless or whatever and no-one will care to help me.

Also, this year I have applied for a care card, which is potentially useful because the card can only be used at doctor's offices and for medical purposes. My limit is fairly high but finding qualified doctors to see me is difficult. Even in finding them, I am hesitant to spend money I know I may be unable to pay back. I am basically only going in for routine checks, and family therapy.
Thanks for this!

Seems as if everything has turned out alright for you this go round, however, in the future should anything like this happen again ...

Several years ago when my insurance coverage came to an end, I went through my local county's Behavioral Health Center.

I was able to do individual & group therapies for $5.00 a pop, and my meds were also only $5.00 a pop.

Again, not the best solution because it sucks to lose our "known" healthcare providers, however, it is better than absolutely nothing at all.

Wishing you the best as all this is totally overwhelming & stressful for those of us that struggle with mental health issues!

I did not lose my SSI. I just won’t be paid for that particular month if I made too much the month before.

My plan though is to tell work to cut my hours. I just need to tell them to cut my hours from 29 to about 22-25 a week. I cannot work full time or a second job with my anxiety. My anxiety is the reason my Medicare was renewed in the first place.

I told work to cut my hours, and they did. So I’m working about 19-22 hours a week. I have this coworker who’s being rude and asking why I don’t have a second job, or full time job. That is of course none of her business and I will not address this issue with her.

My SS situation is so confusing. I have no idea what’s going on, and I won’t know until a scheduled phone call in 11 days. So far most of January and February’s payments are in the savings since I don’t know what I’ll have to pay back. Money has been very tight, and it’s been hard. But I’m still getting SS I’m just not sure when I’ll be getting it.

Some coworkers can be very annoying, Mountaindewed! You're doing the right thing by not telling anything to her. This is personal stuff after all. I hope everything will go well. It sounds like you're handling all of this pretty well. Wish you good luck! Let us know how it goes. Sending many hugs to you

Luckily I don’t have to pay back January’s and February’s. Something about a 2 month grace period. That’s good because I may have to owe money in taxes this year. So everything worked out and I feel much better about everything. The amount was cut, but I am still getting SS.

I'm so happy for you, Mountaindewed! I'm glad you're doing much better now. You deserve it. You've been through so much. It's over now. Be proud of yourself for that. Try to get some rest now if you can. You must be feeling very relieved. I'm so happy for you, and I'm sure all the people here on PC are happy for you as well! Sending many hugs to you
