So I thought this might be nice for people to read.

I recently came out to a co-worker who has been inviting me to eat lunch with her. She thinks it is awesome but doesn't treat me any differently than before she knew which is great =)

Then a couple of days ago I was chatting to a teacher who had requested that I find a trans video (one of my jobs) and she guessed that my interest was a little more than professional. She asked if anyone else at my work knew that I had this superpower and nominated me to run the gay group =D

Context: I work in a very progressive secondary school library.

Things to keep in mind when interacting with me:
1. Do not try to medicate me. I am not on medication for a very good reason.
2. I don't do hugs.
3. If I ask for help, it is because I am at the breaking point, otherwise I have a bad habit of keeping quiet. Please do not brush me off.

Hello AS6855: I have to admit I don't quite know what to make of this. So... were you pleased with the responses you received from these individuals? Personally, I think that assuming someone would be a good choice to run the "gay group" because they are trans is presumptuous & not at all knowledgeable with regard to the differences between a person who is transgender & a person who is gay. But that's just me. How do you feel about it?

I was happy. I just want to be accepted, not treated any differently.

That's my paraphrasing, I call it gay group because I'm used to those groups being made up of mostly gay boys but it is the "SPECTRUM" group or a group for the alphabet soup.
I have been talking to the openly trans boy here.

Also, I am pansexual so I do have a non-hetero sexuality *shrugs*

I love this -- superpower Superpower Thank you for sharing this!

And congrats on coming out to your colleagues! Sounds like a great place to work. Libraries rock (I'm biased though because I used to work in one too Superpower)
