I'd love to say that life has gotten better, but there are some things that are just pulling me back from saying it. It's winter and I'm cold most of the time, (that's just a minor thing, I am Canadian after all) I'm not eating as much as I should (or what I should), I'm barely getting any school work done, and I'm having a lot of nightmares since I was kicked out. Because of that I'm just not sleeping and I'm getting sleep deprived.
Also, there's something going on with my face, it's dry, tight, flaky, and dark. I'm not sure if it's the dry winter or what I'm eating, or something. Moisturizer just burns my face and it dosnt seem to work. I have no idea why it's like this, but it's uncomfortable having this dry skin... Over all, there are up perks and down perks... Just... Right now... My face hurts and I don't wanna sleep.

The guy I am now is only covering the girl I really am. I'd love to come out of the closet about it, but I'm terrified as to what my family and friends may think of me. |

Hi doppeling, sorry that things aren't going too well
![]() I have food sensitivities and the skin problems you describe are definitely linked to food for me. Are you drinking enough water though? And if moisturizer doesn't work, have you tried pure Shea butter? It is a bit greasy, but works well on my skin (I apply it at night). |

Hi doppeling: I'm in Minnesota. So I know what you mean about the cold. It feels like mid-January here... very cold for November! I'm not sure how people survived back when the upper Great Plains were being settled. I read Kraken's suggestion regarding Shea butter. My wife uses this on her lips during the winter. Anything else makes her lips even worse than putting nothing on them. It sounds as though, perhaps, you need to try to work on your diet. If you can't do allot about that at the moment, could you take a mulit-vitamin? Otherwise, maybe a trip to the doctor would be worthwhile if you can arrange it. The dry & tight parts of your skin condition are probably to be expected this time of year. But the flakey & dark aspects sound less so to me. I hope conditions begin to turn around for you soon. The circumstances you describe all sound unpleasant. It's hard to succeed in school when you're not eating properly, not sleeping, & in pain. I send you warm wishes...
