I never put myself in a category, but if I "have" to, would you say I am? I feel maybe 50 % androgynous, 40 % male and 10 % female.

I'm old and grey and those words did not exist when I was a kid. Either you were normal or a freak.

Well as you know (I hope) you are definitely not a freak. We know a lot more about humans and nature now than even 10 years ago. I don't know much about the demi genders but I think some others here do. From what I understand of it, what you describe could very well fit as demi boy. Genderqueer also comes to mind. But again, I don't know as much as I should. I think I'll write it down somewhere to learn more in the near future.

Demigenders are pretty simple, usually it's when you identify mainly with a specific gender, but another part or parts of you feel something else. I'm a demiboy, I identify mostly with being masculine, but another part of me is undefined or non-binary.

If you feel like demiboy suits you as a gender, then go for it!
It's all about what makes you comfortable and feels right to you. If you lean more towards androgyny or the no binary spectrum, there's also demienby or deminonbinary, if those interest you.

I actually messed up there. When I said androgynous it wasn't what I meant, I more meant agender, not having a gender at all.

Anyway...demiboy sounds good. Would make me sound young too......

LOL.....demi (little) boy.......yep, would make you sound young too.

I am probably or maybe older than you are....& I kind of chuckle at all these sexual labels everyone it throwing around.....people who HATE LABELS for everything else.....love to label their sex & gender aspects of their lives......personally it's just nice to BE without really caring about labels.....I disagree with labels of ALL kinds even these.

Actually, just to enter this part of the forum you have to self label to a degree, it doesn't have to be very narrowly no. But this subforum is for

Trans, nonbinary & questioning only.

I'm sorry you received such a harsh and unsupportive comment like that Jimi. That was really uncalled for.

As for being demiboy, if that's what seems to be suiting you right now, then give it a go! I know for me this entire journey has been a process of discovery. Sometimes I feel female, sometimes male, sometimes both, sometimes neither. So I finally decided on the term "genderfluid". And, contrary to what some might think, using that word is not to label myself, but just to understand and define and celebrate my identity and my feelings. And maybe, just maybe, help those around me understand my journey--and the journeys of other nonbinary or gender nonconforming people--a little bit better, as well.

Stay true to yourself, Jimi!

LOL, the comment is OK, I think she picks on me because I have Asperger's. She hates aspies and think we're all really horrible people.
