Lately I've been cutting what little hair I do have on my head really, really short. I think it looks better. The hair is mainly in the sides; I have barely any hair on the top of my head.

Problem is, the short-short hairs are becoming ingrown. I am developing cysts and right now have some pain, perhaps from an in-grown hair. I don't know for sure because it's on the back of my head and I can't see it. I will have a family member check it out tomorrow to make sure it's nothing serious. Still, it hurts like heck right now.

I really don't like my hair when it grows in. Now, I am having complications from when I cut it short. What do I do? It looks awful grown in and there are complications from wearing it short. Does anyone know if this can be avoided by having a scissor cut rather than an electric razor haircut?

I use a pair of clippers myself with no guard. When I used a blade, I would get little ... um ... pimples I guess because the skin on my head is different than the skin on my face. Using the clippers without a guard helped me out ... plus it takes considerably less time.

I do what Webgoji does. Using a pair of clippers is so much easier and quicker, can't recommend you switch to that enough over using a razer of any kind. Can't remember the last time i've walked out of the house with a bit of tissue paper covered in blood stuck to my head!

I've been using scissors to trim my facial hair though, past few months, the direction of the hair and the look of it compared to using clippers, seems to work well. Might take a bit of practice using a small pair of scissors, getting the angles right, but, it's worth it imo.

Baldness (I too am a member) is God just having a little joke at our expense.

OR

(humor) - God asked me if I wanted hair or brains - and I said 'give me just a little of each'

Actually, I deal with it by going #0 on the clippers.

I guess I'm odd, because I don't shave my head smooth, but I am constantly shaving my "man-parts" smooth. There's something youthful about "smooth balls", but something old about "smooth bald".

I am losing hair and I imagine I would just get a hairdresser to shave my head regularly.

I too wish I could shave my head and get all buff, but I am also an ectomorph.

I go to the barbershop every 4 to six weeks for a number 1. Which is a very short head shave with a shaver. The only way I can deal with the bald patch on top. The fact my hair started going AWOL and gray about 10 years back started me of on the short hair do's.
Kind of sad as in my teens I had a great crop off hair.
