I admit I haven't been the best brother when I was younger, I remember my parents saying the first time I met my brother I asked "take baby back", I laughed at him when he was in pain, and I also pushed him away from me when I was a kid.
I admit I was a horrible brother - however I want to bury the hatchet; as an adult I want to fix our relationship - so I decided to fix our relationship this weekend; the problem I have no idea to start the conversation - or what to even talk about. anyone have any ideas? |

Just tell him the truth. Tell him you are sorry for the past and you would like to move
forward from this point on and be closer. I have the opposite situation with my brother. We were close for most of our lives but we had some big family issues and it put us at odds and we have not spoken for two years. I miss him and his family very much and it hurts me deeply that we have nothing to do with each other any longer. My advice would be to be brave, tell your brother what is in your heart and do your best to try and fix your relationship. Life is short and brothers should be close. Brothers should have a special bond and be there for each other. Best of luck my friend, I truly hope it all works out.

Hello voncloft: Well... it's been a few days now since you posted this. Perhaps you've now had the conversation with your brother. Hopefully it went well. The Skeezyks was an only child. So this is not a situation I was ever familiar with.
![]() Kids are kids. And, at least from my perspective, I don't think things we did as kids should be held against us. But I also know how it is... or at least I think I do. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
