I've w got always had narcissistic traits. Constantly throughout my preteen years, my mom was always calling me self centered and telling me that "the world doesn't revolve around you". It started getting more severe around 14 when I went to teen drug rehab and people were voting for me to go level up. This one kid didn't vote for me because I was "dramatic" and "acted like my problems are worse than other people". I got really mad, tore the ballot up and plotted revenge.

I was diagnosed under 18, even though they shouldn't do that.

How old were you when you started realizing that something was different, or when were you were diagnosed?

I had no idea until I saw a T for an unrelated issue. I was in my 40's.

Thing is it is normal for most teens to still feel "the world revovles around them". You are right, being diagnosed under age 18 is not recommended. My advice is get another opinion, you may have a learning disability that others are not recognizing that you would improve a lot with the right help.
Thanks for this!

I agree completely. Diagnosing any personality before a person has matured is a terrible idea usually, because their personality usually hasn't developed fully. Teenager years are when people begin to find themselves and question what they've been told. They start to leave the nest and see the world for themselves and begin to spot differences that make them believe they have been wronged. Teenagers usually get "conduct disorder" because it's not known if it's just a phase of growth, or their personality.

I'm 22 now and I still have the diagnosis... I sometimes wonder what would've happened had I not been diagnosed. But it certainly wasn't a phase.

I should've clarified.

I'm sure I don't have a learning disability, but I understand the concern.
