Can it be true that everyone is against me? My boss, my co-workers, my family, my friends?

I have just realized that I've always thought this--even when I was a child.

When I was a kid, I was afraid that this was true and I was scared about what people thought of me all the time. That's a lot of stress for a kid, but I'm not a kid anymore.

Yet, for all my interest in going out and visiting people, I don't feel close to anyone.

As someone with OCD, I want to do something about this right now.

I'm thinking of finding a therapist who will listen to every distorted thought I have -- if that is what they are.

I'm ready to jump out of my skin, but I just really need to make it through the night.

Is anyone out there?

It must be very hard when you think everyone is against you. I like your idea of finding a therapist, therapy has really helped me see that just because something feels a certain way doesn't make it true. Plus I have gained a greater understanding of OCD and how it effects my life.

Thank you for replying. I saw the picture on your blog--it looks for calm and peaceful.

I'll take a look at it today.

I'm a lot more calm today. I'm disappointed that I can still get that upset, but at least I know that it's a problem.

Thanks for the notes.

You know, I think I'm depressed. Frustratingly depressed, but depressed none the less. Could it be the medication?

Please dont despair about how you feel. I share your pain and experience with this condition. They are only convictions we have to attack ourselves which does nothing for our self esteem and unfortunately some people can sense this.Try to articulate the core of your true feelings and share them with a therapist as open as you can and you will find that your sensitivity will diminish as you begin to delve into a better understanding of OCD.Take care and dont be affraid.

((((((((((((((((sky)))))))))))))))) you are not alone hun, I also have those same types of thoughts that people are always mad at me and that they don't like me. For me, I think part of it my low self esteem and my ocd thoughts... it can really suck having ocd sometimes! But know that people DO like you, it's just the ocd telling you otherwise...
