Hi there.

I no longer take medication because it made me worse, but at one point I was taking prozac (anti-anxiety) and seroquel (anti-psychotic). My psychiatrist told me that the anti-psychotic would help the anti-anxiety med work better...maybe you could ask your psychiatrist about adding on an antipsychotic medication?

The medication DID work, it lessened my anxiety and obsessive thinking...but I also became somewhat of a zombie...I felt very sluggish. I decided I'd rather be "myself" with the anxiety, than a zombie without anxiety. :P However, it might work for you. Talk to your psychiatrist, and good luck!

I was also on 50mg Zoloft and just felt 'flat' and continued having some intrusive thoughts and constant checking if stove was off before leaving home, etc ..i got tired of the 'flatness', numbness, having no emotion..also felt the same 'flatness' after being on other SSRIs for awhile..so I asked the DR if there were any alternative meds I could try..he suggested 18mg/day of Inositol..it's helped a bit and now in addition i'm trying 900mg of St. John's wort..i should feel the effects in about 2 more weeks and i'll let you know..might also add 50-100mg of 5-htp and see if that helps..

Omega 3 fish oil improves concentration? Not trying to change the subject here, but I struggle with concentration, and that might be worth trying if it helps.

There's no cure for OCD, but meds can help some people.

Thanks! I'll probably try it, as I've been considering it for a while now, anyway.
