I suffer from OCD, social phobia, and some minor problems. My doctor prescribed
two 2.5 mg per day of Zyprexa. I fear, speaking with other people it is not the
right treatment.
Can it be harmful? Thank you.

Trust your doctor. What works and doesn't work for other people doesn't mean it applies to you.

Hi Paolo,

As your doctor has wisely started you on a very mild dosage, you shouldn't need to worry. 5 mgs per day is a good amount to test your reaction and assess any side-effects (I am assuming your doc printed you a list), before considering moving up to a more regular daily dosage.

I have used Zyprexa in the past, it is as far as I am aware no more dangerous than any other of those type of meds. I was on 20 mgs a day (2 x10mg tabs once a day).

Like with any med, you will have to weigh the pros and cons: How much impact it has on improving your lifestyle and mood, versus whatever side-effects it causes.
