Hi,

I took the sanity score test and the OCD test and I scored high for OCD. I haven't been diagnosed with OCD, but with GAD, but a lot of it seems to match me.

When I lived alone, I would lock the door, get in bed, get up and check that the door was locked, get in bed, get up and check the door was locked, get in bed...well, you get the drill.

So THAT fits.

But, I was wondering if this counts as a compulsion:

Sometimes if I am starting to have obsessive thoughts about anything, about death or about something I did wrong etc. I will repeat a certain phrase to myself over and over, almost without my initiating it.

It isn't palilalia, I think, because I'm not like Jimmy Two Times in Goodfellas. I'm not repeating something I said in a conversation, or anything. I'm just saying this specific phrase whenever my mind gets in a loop, and it breaks the loop. Can this be a compulsion?

Thanks, Alias

Obsessionals: Obsessionals experience unwanted, intrusive and horrific thoughts and images of causing harm to others. Many Obsessionals engage in repetitive thoughts such as praying, counting, or repeating certain words, in order to counteract their disturbing thoughts.

Haha. Thanks! I spent days on the web and couldn't find anything that said that specifically.
