WTH(eck) to do, wasting away hours of my day picking at acne... anywhere, everywhere, if the skin isn't smooth and I run my fingers over it I start picking without even noticing. Feels calm and focused, maybe I'll be thinking about various things but I don't get any mental hangups while doing it, mostly just daydreaming while scouring my skin for any blemishes or dark hairs in unwanted places - especially my face in front of the mirror. I feel embarrassed, a 26-yr old MSW student with acne like a 13-yr old, blotches I'm always trying to cover with make up. Not much good anywhere but my face, though. Once in a while I'll notice a blemish while in class, and it's such a distraction to me to not start picking at it around everyone.

This happens to me only when I am not doing anything, like just sitting there. If I am distracted, If I am doing something, I won't pick. Try that.

I folded origami cranes for a while and that helped. But even just trying to catch up on internet stuff or homework I'll catch myself doing it. Blargh.
