I finally worked up the courage to tell my therapist about my hair pulling. She told my mom (who was already aware of me doing it) that she needs to take me to a doctor to get checked out and see about anxiety meds.
Sadly as soon as we got out my mom started belittling it. She said that I shouldn't have even brought it up as a big deal because she thinks I can stop whenever I want. But anyways I'm getting off track. I want to know what the doctor is going to do and say so I can be prepared for it. Any ideas? |

Here, check out what the Mayo clinic does (and show your Mom; she'll respect them probably): http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/tri...ents-and-drugs
