Okay, I am ABNORMALLY afraid of and disgusted with bugs. In front of some who view me as "the brave one" I am able to overcome my fear and squash a bug for them with a "how you like me NOW?" kind of attitude...

But at home, I am utterly TERRIFIED of bugs and anything that comes in contact with them. As I type, I have not touched my printer simply because when I opened a door I squashed a german roach in the door unknowingly, and I don't want to touch it, don't want to look at it, can't bear the thought of even cleaning it off with a cloth or with gloves on. The thought of any contact with it makes me gag.

Furthermore, I cannot touch anything that has contacted a bug unless it has been properly cleaned & sterilized, and I'm constantly cleaning things and making extra effort not to come in contact with or risk having bugs of any kind. I don't know why it's so bad now, when I used to not fear them at all...maybe it's because the seasonal change has made their appearances more frequent?

How am I supposed to live with this abnormal distaste in the back of my mind with everything I do or plan? It's driving my boyfriend nuts that he has to kill them, or clean them up, while I stand on a chair screeching like a child - which is NOT something I normally do. (ex-Army)

I can relate to the bug issue....but living alone....I don't have any choice in the matter & living on a farm in the country......there are definitely BUGS......BIG BUGS.

We have huge black bugs that fly around my porch lights & coming in the front door is horrible trying to bat them away from my face & get my 3 dogs through the door before they get in the house.

Huge red wasps make their homes in my attic....they are forever getting into the house....I have the long spray thing that I shoot them down with (even in the house).

Ants all over the place....thus my post about how smelly squished ants are.....the worst part is that they keep coming into my house with any little piece of food that I may leave out.....so I just end up spraying their ant trails....can't keep up with the mess. Actually have several little black ants that crawl onto my bed. The other morning I heard this noise in my ear....it sounded like something crawling inside my ear....I went & got a wet q-tip thinking it was just wax....but it didn't help....then out came a little black ant.....grrrr....that really freaked me out & have a hard time sleeping in my bed because my dogs bring in ticks from outside....this is a horrible tick year.

The worst one was that I have a fractured back from a fall off a horse the end of March....a few weeks ago, I found a HUGE spider on the wall next to my toilet in my master bathroom. Panic hit....I needed the bug spray.....thinking about where the bug spray was, I tripped over the plexiglass barrier I have to keep my dogs out of the bathroom....fell, brusing my knees & twisting my back......was hurting again for several days & lots of ice packs.

I hate bugs....the creepy crawly centipedes.....even as my other post was about the lizard that ended up in my bedroom....good he will eat the bugs.....but I usually was the one standing on the chair screaming about the bugs...until there was no one else to help me out.....then you just have to do what you have to do......but I scream while I'm doing it. Glad I live on a farm away from neighbors that could hear my screams or they would think someone was killing me other than the bugs.

Bugs terrify me. Doesn't matter what kind of bug. Almost all of them send me into a panic attack.
Spiders specifically. Nothing is worse that spiders for me. I had one a few days ago drop down from the ceiling and trapped me in a corner. My worst nightmare. Now I can't stop checking the ceiling. obsessing over where I saw him drop from.
If a spider is in the bathroom and killed I will have my fiance check for spiders every time I need to go to the bathroom for at least a few days.
I am super paranoid about having bugs crawl on me. Having very long hair really sucks as it will brush across my arm and I will flip especially if I am obsessing over checking for bugs.

Killing any bugs is out of the question for me. If I even see one in a room I won't go in it until it is dead.
