Is it hot where you live? I get like that when the temperature rises.

It almost sounds like you're kind of trying to Bless yourself . . . or re-christen yourself. I don't mean to make fun, because it is not fun to feel anxious.

I have lots of compulsions, but I can't say as I've ever had that one. I did used to pour a pitcher of cool water over my head when I got hot at work, in the summer, at a place that had not enough air conditioning during bad heat waves. Then in college, I took a tennis course during July. I used to bring a jug of water to pour over my head half-way through the class. My purposes were just practical. Also, I love to swim, which I just recently got back to, after a long time of non-exercise.

I think contact with water can be satisfying on a number of levels. I hope you can feel less anxious and that attraction to water can be something that feels positive to you. I think that anxiety is mental energy that has gotten misdirected. Seems that way for me.
