Has anybody else here tried to get disability for your OCD? How far did you have to take it to get approved. I had applied because a big part of my OCD is the fear of germs and getting sick so it is hard to be around people which makes it hard to work. I got a denial letter back saying that I could "Work in a job that doesn't involve close contact with others." I'm like yeah that might be a book definition in your handbook but in reality a job like that doesn't exist. Even if you aren't working directly with customers you still have your coworkers. I'm in the process or appealing and if need be I'll take them all the way up to federal court. It's not like I'm trying to get on permanent disability. I am just trying to get on it for a year or so in order to have income to pay off some bills and get some counseling to be a productive member of society. I mean their own psychologist that they sent me to said that it is severe enough to qualify for disability so why do they even waste their money paying for the psychologists if they aren't even going to listen to them. I'll get off my soap box now. It's just getting really frustrating dealing with the red tape.
