I wash my hands a lot...but only when I am at home. Whenever my mom does something gross, I instantly get the urge to wash my hands. Half the time, her hands are not clean and when she touches any of my things like my remote control or phone, I instantly HAVE to wipe it down. It literally bothers me. also, I have to be clean when I get in bed. If my feet touch something dirty, I cringe and wash them. It's really frustrating.

You may very well have OCD. I have had very similar issues as yours. Still do, but I've improved somewhat in the past year. Medication helped, but also behavior therapy. I wish I could tell you an easier way to fix the problem, but I hope it helps to know you're not alone.

I'm okay once I'm at school and I don't wash my hands as much there but when I'm home, I was them a lot. My parents look at me like I'm crazy and my mom does the same thing and washes a lot, too. Only difference is that I don't wash them for 5 or 6 min at a time like she does...

Do you have intrusive thoughts or catastrophic fears?

I fully agree. I hate how confusing it can be.

OCD is not logical. Thats all there is. there is absolutely no rationality to it, and trying to make something out of it will just make you insane....
