"Some individuals may suffer from "Pure Obsessional OCD" (sometimes called "Pure O") in which they report experiencing obsessions without observable compulsions. These obsessions often manifest as intrusive, unwanted thoughts, impulses or "mental images" of committing an act they consider to be harmful, violent, immoral, sexually inappropriate, or sacrilegious. For individuals with Pure Obsessional OCD, these thoughts can be frightening and torturous precisely because they are so antithetical to their values and beliefs."

(Taken from OCDLA)

This sounds like my ocd, I was wondering if there are others like me.

Also,
on youtube sounds JUST LIKE ME! But this may be a TRIGGER WARNING, watch if you can handle it.

Yip, pure O over here... Honestly tho, it doesn't bug me on a huge scale anymore, except when my bipolar's haywire of course. Then its thoughts on steroids, looping and looping round my head. Not fun, coz the thoughts are never good or healthy. I mean, who made the rule that I cant have a positive 'track' on playback? Like unicorns instead of fricken arson... Anyway, I dont usually post here, just wanted you to know I relate

My fiance has bipolar disorder and adhd-c and we frequently talk about who is crazier. I think my crazy is more creative and his is more destructive. He gets angry and I get scared, not about each other but it's how we react to our heads. My thoughts make me scared of myself and he gets hyper and angry and then sad. I might sit there thinking "oh no, one of my arms is longer than the other" and obsess over that for a while. He will start a bunch of projects and lose sleep working on them until he exhausts himself. I think we're different but equal, I'm glad we found each other because no one understands me like him.

I think so. Some days it's hard though, we have more issues than couples with no mental health issues. But now that we know what's wrong we can see when it's just the OCD or bipolar taking over.

I saw a pdoc for the first time recently and he says I have OCD. I knew that I obsessed about people, mostly my Ts, but I didn't think that was OCD. I thought you had to check stove burners and locks, etc. to have OCD. So I guess I have the obsessional kind!
