Whenever I have an intrusive thought, be it words or images, I panic and start to think that I've said it aloud or somehow let on what I've been thinking. Even if initially I put down the idea, knowing intellectually that I would know if I said anything vocally, the fact that I'm not sure plays havoc on my mind until I'm in a state of worry and outright panic. It's maddening. Does anybody else have this or a similar problem? Have you ever said a thought aloud without knowing it on some level?
Thanks in advance ![]() |

I doubt there's much comfort in this, but I don't see this happening to you, especially since you are so aware and fearful of it; it's practically wired into you, not to say your intrusive thoughts out-loud. Nice to see someone else who lives in England, on here! I sometimes feel like the only one.

I do this too...not necessarily about what you are talking about but sometimes i dont like saying certain words because i worry that if i say them then they are true or will happen.
