*you are not going crazy,
*you are not going to do anything stupid,
*you are not going to lose control of your
bodily functions and lash out at someone/
something,
*you aren't going to do anything embarrassing,
*and you are not alone.

find a way to accept the thoughts.
This may sound strange right now, but have
faith, you will.

Acceptance is part of your recovery.

If that sounds crazy, start by accepting that
you cannot accept your stupid phrases or
images.

I use a lot of observation with my intrusive thoughts. I have an intrusive thought, its upsets me, I then look at that thought, label it for what it is - an intrusive thought that means nothing. And continue with my life. Im still playing around with what coping mechanisms work for me. I have intrusive thoughts so often sometimes its hard to remember what I had planned to do with them.
