I know what a B**** OCD can be. Are you on any meds? Maybe you need to try something new. I think meds should be avoided when possible, but some of us, like me, need them.

Maybe you weren't seeing the 'right' one. My therapist is like that, I hope she tells me something useful soon instead of asking me how I am. I'm not paying her to do that, I'm paying her to help me!!

exposure therapy takes A LONG time. not gonna lie. You probably wont see imporovement for over a month or two. How long did you stick with it?

I would see a t who specializes in OCD. You might benefit from buying the book "talking back to OCD". It is a self help book on how to treat OCD, and that is what my t and I have been working on. Its written as a teenagers/kids manual, but the ideas are applicable to all ages.

I definitely understand about the going back and forth on things. I am on so much medication that I would figure it would be helped. My therapist helps but it still happens. My guardians concentrate so much on the schizophrenia that my OCD gets put on the back burner and then I am pulling out stuff and have one train of thought about one thing that interests me and then I will switch when something else comes along and everything has to be a certain way or in a certain number in order for me to feel okay and I just can't stand it! None of my meds seems to address it and I really don't want another pill. With the S, it is just too crowded in my head. Argh!

I know. I wish there was a way to fully cure OCD and other illnesses. I figured to try out all options and go with the one that works best. Still going to have the little quirks of OCD but I am not as bad as I was unmedicated. Hate taking pills though. I find getting deep into a good book on my kindle makes me forget most of my illnesses.
