I am working with my t to stop picking my skin. I gave myself a massive infection a few months ago that took about a month to heal.

I have made some harm-reduction changes (washing my hands, etc.)

I am struggling to come up with a name for this feeling I have when I am picking. I feel cloudy in my head, like I can't focus my eyes, but its more than just my eyes it my whole perception. It doesn't feel good. In fact it feels destructive and terrible, but I WANT to feel it. I guess like scratching an itch more and more and more. I feel nauseous.

idk...its not happy, sad, or anxious so I'm at a loss.

So sorry to hear!! Since OCD is generally a chemical illness, Luvox/Luvox CR is a sweet med for OCD/depression/anxiety! Best of luck!
Thanks for this!

Thanks for your reply,

I wasn't sure where to post my question. I feel like this feeling should have a name. But I have no idea. I was thinking maybe someone has a similar experience.

I'm already on meds.

I have a similar experience sometimes when picking on my head. I just assumed it was just my body's normal reaction to pain or injury in this way or something but I could very well be wrong about that.

I have gotten this sometimes, and I wish I had a name for it as well.
