Hi All,

Does anyone else have existential thoughts about existence, where we come from, how we're spirits in our body. That sort of thing? I've had these horrible thoughts since childhood and whenever I have them I go in to a panic attack tailspin.

those only caused problems for me as they are for you, so I stopped wondering.

Yes i do. Before i was diagnosed with OCD i had had these thoughts only occasionally and only when i was about to sleep. But i could stop them. Even then i thought that if i would continue thinking about universe, exiszence, chaos and pbilosophy i would go crazy. Recently i started to have multiple intrusive philosophical thoughts like:
- is there free will? Or are we prederminated to act and think like preprogrammed biorobots? And are we responsible for our behaviour?
- is there "good" and "bad" objectively?
- are there stupid people and what is definition of stupidity? Can i laugh at stupid people if it's not their fault they're stupid?
- do i really want what i want?
There are plenty of these thoughts. And for some reason i can't stop them. They distress me a lot.
Earlier i used to have more common thoughts like "what if everything is unreal?", "where did we come from?" etc.

Yes,

I annoy my friends and my mom, because I talk about this all the time, and they just want to have a 'fun time'. I had a big argument with my cousin last week, he said it's not really something he'd want to hear as it's not 'healthy'.

This is also a theme for my rumination. Funny how we realize that what we think on our own is stupid and we shoould not to think about it
