So lately, I've been getting these thoughts about questioning the reality of things. And just like what I put in the title they come and go, but when they come it's annoying. Like for example, one of the thoughts would be do I really know what's real? Do I really know that that apple is real? Then there's this one questioning which of the things is real, for example, let's say I'm looking at a dog & cat I would question which one is real? The dog or cat?
I wanted to see if any of you all have similar thoughts as well and how did you ignore them to the best of your ability?

I had the same thoughts when I was a pre-teen, and I didn't do anything to stop them except waiting for them to be gone. I now try to ignore some thoughts about a family member getting hurt by not doing the whole checking-on-them thing, because other than the fact that I really love my family, I want to rest, and I grew tired of these thoughts, and all of a sudden they are way less than they were before, yes they come and go, but not as usual.

I don't have those thoughts but I understand that those thoughts are annoying. Have you ever tried mindfulness? You don't challenge the thoughts, you take note of them and let them be.
