Hi. I'm new to this forum and I must say it's a relief to find a forum to express all my fears and symptoms of OCD.
I have had OCD since I was 11 or 12. It started with "blackmailing thoughts: you either do this or...", then proceded with tics and then with obsessive, intrusive thoughts and dozens of compulsions. Even thoug I take medication, I continue with all of this and, lately, I've gained a new tic: twisting my neck. I feel a "weight" on my neck and/or in my head, as I wave my neck so to relieve myself from it. But it doesn't go away. I'm now doing this all the time, to the point I'm on the street doing it. Even if I'm not doing it, I still feel the "weight". And, then, my mind plays tricks with me. "If you don't touch that twice, you'll continue with it". So I must touch the object twice. "If you speak a certain way, you'll continue with the weight.". It has gotten to the point I'm considering ending this nightmare. Anyone on the same terms? Thanks. |

that must be incredibly difficult for you, and I suggest only counselling will help you to find a way out of this, eitherwise it might get even worse for you.

I'm sorry you are going through this. It sounds terrible. But I agree with lowinmod.. therapy could really help you break the cycle. I wish you well

Thanks Daphnelover, I was thinking therapy because it could get even worse than it is now.
